The pool was bigger than expected, even the house was quite big. Very nice view on the valley and there was everything you needed.
The house-owners live at the other side of the street, which is actually very handy if you need to ask something and they dont disturb you at all.
Nice house, nice location, good vacation.

Villa Alliston is a home from home retreat, lovingly looked after by its caring owners. This property is a joy to stay in as it is so well equipped for all the family whatever the weather. A great relaxing, peaceful, holiday with friendly and helpful owners at hand if required.

Villa Alliston is an excellent house in an excellent location. Villasavary itself is a picturesque little town with a few food shops, a bar / restaurant and is within easy striking distance of numerous other towns and cities in the region.
The house is a real home from home. After renting numerous villas over the past few years I can definitely say it is the best equipped we have stayed in with everything seeming to be catered for.
The house is comfortable and surprisingly large. The garden is a nice size and the plunge pool useful for the long hot afternoons. There is a barbeque on the patio area and plenty of seating, and the fresh ripe figs from the trees at the bottom of the garden were a definite bonus.
Overall I would say this was the best house we have stayed in. Easy to find easy to use and the owners Christine and Mick are great and were very helpful. I would highly recommend a stay here if you are looking for a comfortable base to explore the Languedoc from.

Pleasant surprise from the off - wow. A very spacious and interesting house with lots of character. Had lots of fun on the pin-ball machine. The plunge pool was very nice, as was the view from the bottom of the garden where we would often sit on an evening, glass in hand, watching the sunset.
Spent most evenings dining on the patio as it was so lovely but there were sufficient places to eat within 20 mins drive. Lots to visit along excellent roads. Local people were extremely friendly as were the owners. Christine and Mick very helpful - thank you Christine for suppyling us with food and drink when we arrived later than expected.

Very deceiving property, looks tiny from the front but is actually quite large once you enter.
Large kitchen with TV and a 1960's pinball machine that kept the kids entertained for ages.
Superb views from the rear garden.
Good location for discovering this region of France.
It was a pleasure meeting the owners Mick & Christine who were lovely. Their dogs Joey & Sally were very popular with our youngest daughter.
Owner reply:
Thanks for the review, it was wonderful meeting you all and we hope you return.

Arrived at villa Alliston not knowing what to expect and found small terraced house on a narrow street.
We opened the door and could not imagine what we found !
It opened up into a 3 story house with fantastic views over lush green French countryside. A light and airy living room. Upstairs 2 large bedrooms and a space on the landing for another single bed which could be screened off.
The large kitchen had all the facilities you would need and led out to the private patio area and down to the plunge pool.
We have not done a holiday like this before and you could call it beginners luck (due to the vast choice) but Villa Alliston was fantastic and would recomend it and use it again.
A truly rustic French holiday.
Thank you Christine and Mick.
Owner reply:
